Steve: Steve Buettler began his speech life 25 years ago as a high school competitor for Holy Ghost Preparatory School in Philadelphia, PA. There, in addition to finaling or winning in Original Oratory at most national tournaments, he became the first two-time Pennsylvania state champion in OO and capped off his senior year as the National Runner-up in OO at the 1999 NFL national tournament. Ever since Steve has taught public speaking to students across the country – from coaching national and state finalists at Mt. Lebanon HS in Pittsburgh to directing Original Oratory at the University of Texas National Institute in Forensics to developing public speaking curriculum for Education Unlimited in Berkeley, California. He has carried his belief in the power of clear communication throughout his career as an event organizer, artist, and teacher. A resident of Olympia, Washington, Steve continues to work for Education Unlimited and as an online tutor – he is passionate about art, ideas, and becoming a better human through them both.
